Our team continues to grow, and we are happy to introduce our new Digital Communications Associate, Stephanie Campos!

Strategic communications play an essential role in executing our bold vision towards addressing an equitable recovery in our region. Through our communications, we lift up our grantee partners’ work and successes, increase awareness of health equity issues in our region, and share ideas and insights that can influence and inspire action towards achieving health equity and systemic change.

Stephanie Campos (she/her), Digital Communications Associate, will be responsible for executing digital communications across the Foundation’s platforms, including creating digital content and social media. Through her work, she will amplify the critical work of our partners, strategic investments, and hyper-local community issues.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the team at such a dynamic time in the Foundation’s journey,” Stephanie said. “The pandemic has amplified the systemic disparities present in our communities, and I appreciate Healthy Communities Foundation’s bold approach to tackle these issues head-on.”

Before joining the Healthy Communities Foundation team, Stephanie worked at UChicago Medicine’s Urban Health Initiative on the Community Relations team, which shares the similar goal of advancing health equity and improving health outcomes on Chicago’s South Side.

Maria Pesqueira, President of Healthy Communities Foundation, added, “We are so pleased that Stephanie has joined our team, bringing to our team her knowledge/passion of digital media as we work with community to achieve health equity in our region.”
