Tina (they/them and she/her) aspires to support leaders and organizations who center relationships, identities and culture within community spaces. As the Senior Program Manager of Healing and Resilience, Tina honors this work as a bridge to collective healing, joy and justice.
Tina comes from a lineage of storytellers, healers and teachers by way of Colombian and Filipinx immigrants. Grounded in kapwa practice and values (rooted in interconnection and interdependence), Tina weaves together common threads between individual, community, and organizational resilience, bringing practical insights from prior roles across the nonprofit sector and cultural organizing work. Tina brings extensive experience in community engagement, program design and implementation, and workshop facilitation to the Foundation, informed by more than fifteen years of reimagining well-being for youth, families and communities across Chicagoland.
Tina serves on the board of directors for the Alliance of Filipinos for Immigrant Rights and Empowerment (AFIRE Chicago) and AMPT, which invests in Chicago’s Black- and Latine-led community organizations via antiracist capacity building resources. Tina received an M.A. from the University of Chicago’s Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy and Practice (née School of Social Service Administration) and a B.A. in literary studies and creative writing from Beloit College.
