Philanthropy for a Racially Equitable Greater Chicago (PREGC), a philanthropic and collaborative effort, seeks a 12-month project manager.
PREGC will play a strategic role in advancing racial equity across Cook County by supporting people of color-led organizations, individuals, and advocates to strengthen their capacity to promote dialogue, advocate for and serve their communities, and engage the philanthropic community in understanding the importance of these efforts. PREGC is led by an Advisory Committee made up of representatives from our region’s philanthropy affinity groups (Chicago African Americans in Philanthropy, Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy, and Chicago Latinos in Philanthropy) and funders (Healthy Communities Foundation, Grand Victoria Foundation, Woods Fund Chicago and Field Foundation).
A project manager will support PREGC in:
- Growing the capacity of individuals and organizations in philanthropy to advance equity.
- Creating a process/structure for investing in emerging strategies to end racial inequality.
- Crafting and advancing a comprehensive community-defined agenda for achieving racial equity.
