Claudia Perez grew up in Monterrey, an industrial city in northern Mexico. She moved to Chicago in 1994 after getting married, looking to start a new life in this city.
Claudia started her career as executive assistant in Monterrey, Mexico for CYDSA, a large corporation mainly dedicated to the fabrication of cellulose and cardboard packaging, salt and the construction of water treatment plants.
After arriving in Chicago, Claudia started employment at the National Museum of Mexican Art as Executive Assistant for the Associate Director and the Development Department.
In November 2000, Claudia joined Mujeres Latinas en Accion as the Director’s Assistant. During her 16 years working at Mujeres, she gained experience performing tasks related to the areas of human services, board relations, business administration, office operations, event planning, and customer service.
Presently, Claudia has been working for the Healthy Communities Foundation since July 2017 as Grants and Operations Manager.
